A Hudson Valley Treasure

The beauty and versatility of the Bear Mountain Inn and Conference Center is enhanced by its convenient location...

Since the Inn was built in 1915, visitors have appreciated the rustic appeal of its fireplace-lit lobbies, spacious function rooms and comfortable meeting places. And when an overnight stay is called for, guests are made to feel right at home in any of the Inn’s 60 charming and modern accommodations at the Main Inn, Stone Lodges or Overlook Lodge. All guest rooms feature standard amenities enhanced by vistas of spectacular woodland or lakefront scenery. Lovingly handcrafted by local artisans using chestnut, this historic resort features myriad unique interior design elements, such as fireplaces able to accommodate 10-foot logs and light fixtures fashioned from native white birch and hand-hammered iron.

Throughout the Inn, the original chestnut and birch furniture – much of which is being restored or replicated by the Palisades Interstate Park Commission – gives each room a distinctive touch. The Inn combines all the activities, necessities and comforts today’s discerning leisure or business consumer demands. There are over 27,000 extremely versatile square feet of function space. Groups of 5 or 500 feel right at home in our spacious meeting areas, enjoying easy access to all facilities with ample parking. Both the Inn and Overlook Lodge are set up to host conferences, meetings and banquet functions. (See Bear Mountain Inn floor plans.)

To satisfy their hunger at the end of an activity-filled day, guests may enjoy outstanding cuisine at our signature dining location, the Cub Room Restaurant. Those seeking a more casual atmosphere can visit the first floor, or enjoy a few cocktails or sip a hot toddy in the cozy atmosphere of the Lobby Lounge, renowned for the ambience of its vaulted ceilings and crackling fireplace.

Adventurous outdoorsmen and women can enjoy a few minutes or a few hours of picturesque splendor on miles of well-marked nature trails, and hike or drive to Perkins Memorial Tower for breathtaking panoramas from the top of the Majestic Bear Mountain. When the cool breezes of summer return, guests can turn their attention to such pleasurable pursuits as picnicking, paddleboating, fishing or swimming.

Bear Mountain State Park ... something for everyone.

The setting for the Inn is the timeless beauty of Bear Mountain State Park. Open 365 days a year from 8 am to dusk, the park promises an unforgettable outdoor experience for everyone. The Palisades Interstate Park Commission is committed to restoring the charm and casual elegance once epitomized by the Inn.

As convenient as it is grand

Part of what makes the beauty and versatility of the Bear Mountain Inn and Conference Center even more attractive is its convenient location.
